Ensuring your bathroom lighting is safe
The bathroom is a warm and often damp room, due to steam. This is why you need to choose lights suitable for this environment. For your safety, there are legal regulations on how a bathroom light must be designed and where it can be installed suitably.
We would advise at least an IP44 rated luminaire for your bathroom, which means the light has a high safety requirement in terms of being dust and splash-proof. The design of our IP44 lights allows them to be used in bathrooms. Higher protection, such as IP54, can also be used in these zones. Lower protection classes may only be installed outside the marked areas.
